Cape Town – The Hawks have confirmed that a R2 million ransom demand has been made for the Gqeberha biokineticist who was kidnapped on Thursday morning.
Riana Pretorius was abducted from outside a medical practice in Pickering Street, Newtown Park.
PE Express reported that Hawks spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela confirmed, adding that two suspects had been arrested.
Mgolodela said a third suspect was still at large and the victim had still not been found at the time of publishing.

The search continues for the third suspect who will possibly lead police to where Riana is being held, reported IOL.
The report said it was unclear when the suspects will be charged and be expected to appear in court, however, all law enforcement agencies remain on high alert.
Rian was kidnapped by three men who allegedly forced her into a white Toyota Corolla and fled.
The vehicle was later found in Deal Party by the police, where they arrested one suspect.
