Cape Town – Rapper Nadia Nakai is still in mourning after the tragic death of her boyfriend Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, who was killed outside a restaurant in Durban in early February.
Nadia posted a video of AKA rapping a verse from his hit song Paradise. In the clip, AKA can be seen holding his phone in one hand as reads the lyrics to the song when a call suddenly comes through and can be heard saying: “Baby, I am busy rapping about you here. Hello?”
Nadia captioned the video using one line from the song’s lyrics and wrote: “I wish I discovered you early.”

Since his death, AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes and Nadia have found solace in each other. They have been there to comfort and lean on one another.
Lynn posted a video of the couple together to her Instagram, praising Nadia for loving and respecting her son the way she did.
“Love is not a reason to tolerate disrespect. @nadianakai I am forever indebted to you for the way you love and respect my son to this day. You showed him what real love and respect is and you brought out the absolute best in him.”
AKA still lives in the memory of so many, with his mom asking fans to preserve his legacy as long as they can. He also received tributes from rapper Nasty C at KDay and from his favourite football team, Manchester United.
