Cape Town – Former Kaizer Chiefs footballer, Junior Khanye has ventured into music, announcing that he will be releasing a new single set to come out soon.
The 37-year-old made the announcement on Twitter, uploading a brief preview to this account. The amapiano single titled Obrigado will drop in February.
Speaking to the Daily Sun, the Ghetto Ninja said the compliments he received from big artists inspired him to create his own music.
“Muzi is the DJ, Mbali and I are the vocalists and the track was produced by Syper and Sticksbeatz,” he said.
“Cassper Nyovest, Big Zulu, AKAK and many stars played at the Bidvest Wits University stadium in Johannesburg. They then called me and told me how talented I was and wanted to work with me from then,” he added.
“The song was supposed to be out last year, but we didn’t have time as I was busy with other campaigns. I played in front of huge crowds when I was 17, so I don’t think I’ll be scared to perform.”
“New single coming out soon,” he wrote on Twitter.
