Cape Town – There were mixed emotions on social media after a video of Babes Wodumo crying while singing and dancing to her late husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s song went viral.
In the video, the Wololo singer, who has been performing at gigs since her husband died, can be seen wiping tears but continues dancing and singing the Big Nuz member’s song Ngeke.
Concerned fans and followers called for the singer to take time to mourn while others asked for Babes to be allowed to grieve as she saw fit.
Mampintsha died on Christmas eve, a week after suffering a stroke.

The gqom star hasn’t been out of the limelight since the passing of her husband. She recently caused a stir on social media when she announced that she had finally unlocked Mampintsha’s phone.
This was after speculation that Mampintsha was cheating on Babes.
“I have found my baby’s password. Thank you, baby. My husband loved me until the end,” she said, before jokingly adding “I’m now reading all your business,” she said.
