Cape Town – Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize’s ex-husband, businessman Sibusiso Mpisane has reportedly claimed that the latest break-in at their La Lucia home was an attempt to kill him.
One of the suspects was reportedly shot and injured during the housebreaking while two others managed to flee the scene.
The break-in reportedly occurred on Saturday and police were investigating a case of housebreaking.
According to police the suspects attempted to strike on the southern side of the house and cocked a gun at the homeowner who retaliated, shot and injured one of the suspects.
Responding to concerns about her safety following the incident, MaMkhize said she was not involved, as the incident occurred at the house occupied by her ex-husband, reported IOL.
“Thank you all for the messages of concern, but as you are all aware, I am separated from Sbu Mpisane. The incident that took place does not involve me or my wing of the estate,” the report quoted MaMkhize as saying.
According to Mpisana the incident was an attempt on his life.
He claimed that this was the fourth time intruders broke into his home, reported News24.

He claimed this was the fourth time the same men entered his home without his permission, adding that last month the men were at his home twice and left when they couldn’t find him, the report said.
In one incident, Mpisane claimed to have found one of the men hiding under his bed and he allegedly apprehended the man and handed him to the police.
He said that the same man was arrested in December for housebreaking.
Mpisane believed the latest incident was an attempt to kill him, the report said.
He said during Saturday’s break-in one of the men tried to shoot him but his firearm jammed and he fired and injured the man.
