As the tears rolled down his cheeks, Sechaba also opened up to SABC News about how his record label contributed to his downfall, saying that he always owed the label money.
“The problem started when I noticed I was getting a smaller percentage from my royalty payments so I was wondering what’s going on now.
“It was as if I was now repaying the rent money the company had given me.”
He said that the loans had kept growing and it was as though “I always owed the company”.
“So they are borrowing me money; they are not paying me.

He mentioned how losing his family, and not having the finances to bury his father has affected him.
“I think I need to see a psychologist or something, because, even now, I don’t know what I’m doing. It was a calling, how did it end up being something that destroys me?” he asked.
“It would be much better if I was a tsotsi [thief] in the streets and become whatever I want to become. They killed me, they destroyed me. But one thing I know is that God has a plan and I know I will be fine because when I read the Bible there were people God gave dreams to but they were thrown in ditches.”
“They killed me, they distroyed me.” ??
Gospel artist, Sechaba struggles to hold back his tears as he reveals what his record label did to him, he’s literally down & out ?
