WATCH | ‘My heart is full’ – Young fans flock to see Sho Madjozi at the launch of her new book

Cape Town – Award-winning South African artist, Sho Madjozi was met by many of her young fans at the Mall of Africa during her Shoma and the Stars book tour.

Sho, who holds a qualification in creative writing, penned the children’s book which is about a young girl who gets into trouble with her community, but when trouble comes knocking for them, she is there to save the day. A heart-warming story of adventure, community, and friendship.

The book was illustrated by children’s book illustrator Katlego Keokgale.

“Parents and lovers of things that are really cute, I’ve sorted you out for Christmas this year ?✨ SHOMA AND THE STARS IS OUT NOW,” Sho said in an Instagram post.

In a more recent social media interaction, Sho took to Twitter to share what her experience was like at the Mall of Africa.

“Listeeeennnn, the stars showed up and showed out yesterday at Mall of Africa. Books were sold out in just a few hours. And I got so many hugs! My heart is full,” she wrote.

It was a day she was preparing for.

“I’ve been training to meet all your kids at Mall of Africa tomorrow. I take this very seriously,” she wrote on Twitter.

The artist also encouraged parents to bring their children out to purchase the book.

“Where’s that tweet that was asking when schools are reopening? I’m on my way back to [SA], your kids can come hang out with me on my #shoma and the stars book tour,” she wrote.
