Cape Town – In a recent interview, Canadian rap star, Drake expressed his admiration of iconic South African DJ, Black Coffee as he reminisced about seeing the SA star perform live, saying that it was “probably one of the craziest moments in my life”.
Drake was interviewed on a live stream with an online casino, Stake on December 17, 2022. Stake is operated by Medium Rare NV, a company incorporated in Curaçao where it holds an online casino license. It’s a global company with offices in Serbia, Australia, and Cyprus, and staff globally.
At the beginning of the interview, Drake reflected on his best memories of 2022 as the year draws to a close.
“I have a few. I think my great memories start off with new year’s eve. I had a great new year’s eve,” he said.
He then shifted the focus toward the album he released this year, saying “I made a very different album this year.”
The Canadian released Honestly, Nevermind in June this year. The album was received well by some and badly by others. Drake himself said that “it’s for some people and it’s not for some people”.
He added that it was a departure from what he usually does.

He said the album afforded him the opportunity to see different parts of the world.
“I got to see Black Coffee live, probably one of the craziest moments in my life”, Drake said in awe of the Soouth African DJ.

The fact that one of the biggest artists in the world holds such an admiration for a South African artist speaks volumes for the talent the country has to offer.
