Cape Town – South African award-winning television presenter, radio personality, actress, and social media personality Bonang Matheba is in line to replace American comedian and TV show host, Steve Harvey, as the new host of the Miss Universe pageant.
The Miss Universe organisation recently came under new ownership in Jakapong “Anne” Jakrajutatip and she has asked fans of the pageant to give suggestions as to who they want to be the new host.

Bonang is among a host of many well-known female celebrities, including Jeannie Mai and Ashley Graham.
@B!ngeonpop tweeted the shortlist of the most popular candidates.

According to The Citizen, there are major changes under way at the Miss Universe organisation and the changes have left a gaping hole for a charismatic host.
South African social media users are hoping Bonang will be the one chosen to fill that void.
Steve Harvey parted ways with the organisation after five consecutive years of hosting.
The new owner in question is Jakapong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, CEO and biggest shareholder of JKN Global Group Pcl (JKN) (JKN.BK) is a business tycoon and a celebrity in Thailand, starring in local versions of reality shows Project Runway and Shark Tank.
Many of Bonang’s fans took to social media to put her name forward.
