Cape Town – A  video of South Sudan President Salva Kiir wetting himself in full view of cameras during the opening of a new road in his east African country has gone viral on social media.

The 71-year-old president peed himself while singing the national anthem at the national event on Tuesday.

The video of the embarrassing moment quickly spread like wildfire on social media platforms.

The video starts off with Kiir standing alongside other dignitaries and military personnel, with their heads held high, as they sing the national anthem.

As the singing continues, the president’s grey pants start to turn dark grey, and immediately the urine can be seen running down his leg and forming a small paddle behind him.

The president continues to sing but looks down before looking up again.

At this stage, the cameraperson moves the camera in a different direction and the president is out of view.

In no time social media users started making fun of the president, with some saying it was a sign for him and other elderly African leaders to retire and to give room to younger leaders.

Some alleged that the cameramen did the president wrong by showing him in that state while others were concerned about Kiir’s health.
