Cape Town – A video in which a man is being shot and killed by gunmen, allegedly in Johannesburg, has emerged on social media and it has left many wondering if they are “safe in South Africa”.
According to crime activist, Yusuf Abramjee, the incident occurred between De Villiers and Bree Streets in the Johannesburg Central Business District (CBD).
“De Villiers and Bree Streets, JHB CBD: Man shot dead. The gang is also linked to other attacks, including the recent shooting of a security guard officer,” Abramjee said.

In the video, gunmen are seen pursuing the man in a busy street where many of the people scrounge for their safety. The gang finally gets hold of the victim and they shoot at him instantly, making sure they leave him dead.
Many on social media have expressed their shock.
