Cape Town – Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has announced that it has been nominated for two international awards by the World Travel Awards, urging South Africans to vote for the Cableway.
It has been nominated for the following categories:
- World’s Leading Cable Car Ride 2022
- World’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2022
“Earlier this year, we asked you to vote for us in Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction and Africa’s Responsible Tourism Award. While we still await the results, we are so thankful to those who have voted for us thus far,” the CableWay said in a Facebook post.
According to IOL, managing director of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC), Wahida Parker urged the public to cast their votes.
“We need the public and the tourism sector to support us and vote. The public voting closes on October 20,” she said.
“The World Travel Awards is the gold standard in the travel world and acknowledges service excellence and responsible operators each year.
“The WTA runs two rounds of nominations – first focusing on regional players, before choosing the world’s best. In the Africa awards, we are hoping to bag ‘Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction’ as well as ‘Africa’s Responsible Tourism Attraction’. The winners for the Africa categories will be confirmed on October 16,” Parker added.
The public can cast their vote at: www.worldtravelawards.com/vote.
