Cape Town – In an announcement video on Ryan Reynold’s Instagram, the Deadpool star stated that he had one idea for Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine when Deadpool returns to theatres in 2024.
“We’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film for a good long while now,” Reynolds said.
The third installment of the Deadpool franchise will be the character’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And now, it looks like Wolverine will also be making his MCU debut after much anticipation.
“I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth and motivation, new meaning,” the actor added.
“Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been incredible that has forced me to reach down deep inside and I… have nothing,” he confessed.

After admitting his creative block to his followers, Hugh Jackman happened to walk by.
“Hey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Ryan asked.
And Jackman was happy to oblige.
“Yeah, sure Ryan,” he answered.
With the first two Deadpool films being a major success among fans and at the Box-office, the arrival of the third installment of the franchise on September 6, 2024 will no doubt be getting fans excited.
