Cape Town – South African artist, Mthandazo Gatya, has thanked world-renowned musician, John Legend for opening “a world of possibilities” for him.
This follows their performance over the weekend after Gatya caught the attention and approval of the multi award winning singer.
John Legend started the #OpenVerseChallenge on Tiktok, allowing users to duet his song Nervous from his newly released Legend album.
The American singer was so impressed by Gatya’s African touch and outstanding vocal ability that he invited him to share the stage with him.
Gatya took to his Twitter account on Sunday to thank the American singer.

“A world of possibilities,” Gatya wrote on the tweet with a snap of himself and Legend after their second.
In a follow-up tweet, the South African singer, shared a video of his performance with Legend and thanked him for acknowledging his role in the song Nervous.

He said it was not just the invite to share a stage that moved him.
