Cape Town – South African singer and record producer Zakes Bantwini, real name Zakhele Madida, is set to retire after 15 years in the music industry.
According to IOL, the announcement was made by Zakes’ company, Independent Media Group Africa.
The company said that Zakes will release his final studio album, titled “Abantu” in November.
“This album follows his largely successful multi-platinum selling album ‘Ghetto King’ that features hits such as ‘Osama’, ‘Imali’ and ‘Girl in The Mirror,’” said the company, as quoted by the report.

It’s not clear whether this announcement means the end of his touring and live performances.
Zakes took to Instagram to express his gratitude for having progressed this far in his career.
