Cape Town – Alex FM music manager, Joshua Mbatha, 32, reportedly died after he was shot in the chest during a robbery on Thursday night in Alexandra, northern Johannesburg.
According to EWN, Joshua and two of his colleagues were on their way home from the station, when the incident occurred.
Three gunmen stopped them and took their phones and shoes before shooting Joshua in the chest.

The other two managed to get away unhurt.
“He succumbed to his injuries at Masakhane clinic around 9:00. We are with his father and other family members. Let us keep the family and Josh’s colleagues in our prayers. May his soul rest in peace. A promising career gone too soon,” Times Live quoted station chairperson Isaac Mangena as saying.
The funeral details and memorial service would be announced in due course after consultations with the family, said the report.
