Cape Town – Police in KwaZulu-Natal arrested a 49-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a 36-year-old mother of three multiple times with a broken beer bottle in front of her children on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 11:30.
The mother and her three children were walking down Silverglen Drive in Bayview when a man allegedly approached her and instructed her to follow him to Aviswood grounds in Silvergen, The South African, reported.
“An argument ensued, the suspect assaulted her with a beer bottle on the head and stabbed her on the body,” the report quoted police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo as saying.

IOL reported that Amawele Emergency Services responded to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing.
“On arrival, we found a 36-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds on her head and body. She was left for dead.
“The woman was treated on scene and stabilised before being rapidly transported to hospital for further medical care,” said Claude Subramodey from Amawele Emergency Services as quoted by the report.
Bayview police arrested the suspect, who was expected to appear in the Chatsworth Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of attempted murder, said the report.
