Cape Town – South African media personality Anele Mdoda has received backlash from Twitter users following the announcement that she will be one of the co-hosts on SuperSport’s Super Saturday.
Entertainment blogger Phil Mphela took to Twitter and announced that Anele will be co-hosting the sports channel’s Saturday show with Neil Andrews, Motshidisi Mohono, Thato Moeng and Ayanda Thabethe.
“CASTING NEWS: Anele Mdoda joins Supersport. Mdoda will co-host the sports channel’s Saturday show, Super Saturday. The hosting team includes Neil Andrews, Motshidisi Mohono, Thato Moeng & Ayanda Thabethe. Starts in July with first show live from Durban July,” wrote Phil in a Tweet.

The 38-year-old confirmed Phil’s announcement.

However, the news didn’t receive the anticipated positive reaction from social media users, as tweeps expressed their displeasure with the squad.
Many said that Anele was not a right fit for the show.
