Cape Town – Radio personality and businesswoman, Dineo Ranaka received backlash from Twitter users after a video she recorded while driving went viral.
In the video, Dineo addressed the Savanna cider brand, saying that all its other flavours must be discontinued in South Africa, and leave the original flavour, Savanna Dry, only.
“Good day, this is a message to the Savanna company on behalf of us, the blacks, the consumers of savovo. So you know our tastebuds are used to mogodu, manqina, every now and then we dash with the sushi, prawn and oysters but generally we are there with our 7-colours.

“So, now you are coming with the flavours and they are tekker-tekkering there in the mouth. I think you can send those flavours to Europe, China, and America, just populate and distribute them because we are evaluating sphithiphithi (chaos). Leave us with Savanna Dry,” said Dineo.

Tweeps reacted to the video, with some agreeing with her, while others criticised her for frequently glancing at the camera and removing her hands from the steering wheel while she spoke.
Take a look at some of the Twitter reactions below:
I think it should be a known law that it is illegal to make a video while driving. I forsee danger/accidents and loss of innocent lives if we continue like this. Not bashing #Dineo but most are guilty of this and by no means am I pointing fingers at anyone. But let us be careful?

Hi @MbalulaFikile can we see some punishment sent to Dineo Ranaka for reckless driving?
Surely this unacceptable, leaving her steering wheel, few seconds looking on her phone.. Wow https://t.co/NYE0x8e6KI

And both hands on the steering wheel, unless signalling or changing gears. This is just irresponsible driving.

She’s making sense, her eyes were on the road every 3sec…y’all fishing

She is very unsafe as a user of the road, if an animal or a person jumped on the road her reaction time would be very slow. Its very dangerous what she is doing.
