Cape Town – South African media personality Mohale Motaung will tell his side of the story regarding the events that led to him separating from his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo in a tell-all interview with radio and television broadcaster Aldrin Sampear.
The interview Mohale: On the Record is a Showmax original. It will premier on August 4, 2022.
Showmax took to its official social media accounts to announce the wrap of the tell-all interview.

The interview comes as Somizi addressed Mohale’s abuse claims in the 5th season of his reality show, Living the Dream with Somizi.
In a clip released by Showmax on Instagram, Somizi can be heard admitting to listening to Mohale’s voice recording that went viral in 2021 for the first time.
Mohale claimed in the leaked recording that Somizi broke his ribs and nearly knocked out his two teeth in a jealously-fueled domestic dispute in their Joburg home in 2020.
“I’ve never had the time and energy to listen to the recording and this is the first time I’m listening to it,” said Somizi.
When asked by his friend Vusi Nova why he thought Mohale would accuse him of such, Somizi said that it was probably for money, Drum reported.

“He was probably promised money for a special of some sort. So, they wanted to check content, because he wouldn’t have content without me, not realising what it would do to my reputation and my work,” Somizi said as quoted by the report.
According to Times Live, Mohale said in a statement that he had no intentions of publicly speaking about the events that occurred between him and Somizi, due to an agreement he had with the other parties involved. However, when the agreement was dishonoured, he saw it imperative to tell his truth as he knows it.
“With all the misinformation in the public domain, it is my responsibility to correct any propaganda as I represent not only myself, but those that may have experienced a story similar to mine. I would also like people to truly get to know me for who I am, as opposed to who they have assumed me to be,” the report quoted Mohale as saying in a statement.
