Cape Town – MTN Business this week launched the ‘MTN Made for Skhokho’ business bundle at The Milk Restaurant and Champagne Bar in Khayelitsha.
The business bundle was tailored for the “Skhokhos” of the township economy. These included entrepreneurs, job seekers as well as hustlers.
In an interview with African Insider, MTN business enterprise marketing senior manager Marco Alfino said the “Made for Skhokho” was an initiative aimed at giving back to the community.

“It’s also a celebration of entrepreneurs who are making a difference in the community, and as MTN, we thought Khayelitsha would be a great start to change the narrative about informal business sector,” said Alfino.
Marco said that the MTN business division had realised over the years that “the man on the street” remained its top profit driver.
“With Made for Skhokho, we decided to literally put our money where our mouth is,” he said.
