Cape Town – A man was reportedly assaulted and set alight in Giyani, Limpopo last week after being accused of stealing a plasma TV.
According to The Citizen, the man was inside a taxi when community members of Sikhunayani Village accosted and dragged him out of the vehicle.
The community members allegedly forced him to show them where he stole the TV from, and during the dispute, he was stoned and set alight.

Accidents reported that the police were called and managed to rescue the victim as the vigilantes fled in different directions.
The victim was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries.
The victim’s identity is not known yet.
Police have urged anyone with information regarding the brutal incident to come forward.
