Cape Town – Police in Mpumalanga have reportedly launched a manhunt after a 31-year-old was allegedly hacked to death and set alight by a group of five suspects in a grisly attack.
According to Times Live, the five suspects stormed the man’s home on Monday evening and dragged him outside, while keeping his wife and child inside.
The suspects then allegedly hacked him to death before pulling his body into a rondavel and setting it alight, the report quoted police spokesperson Brig Selvy Mohlala said Mxolisi Ndlela as saying.
The motive behind his killing remained unknow, JacarandaFM reported.
“…police are proceeding with their probe but they cannot rule out the possibility that the murder incident could be witchcraft related,” the report quoted police as saying.
