Cape Town – Seasoned radio personality Unathi Nkayi is set to re-launch her radio career after she announced a cryptic comeback on social media.
In her latest posts across all her social media pages, Unathi revealed that she will soon be hosting a drive-time slot at a radio station starting on March 1.
“It seems like this radio thing doesn’t want to let me go because from the 1st of March you know what I’m going to be doing, I’m gonna be driving you home, 3 to 6 drive time, 1st of March, I’ll see you there,” she said.

She didn’t, however, disclose which radio station she will be working for.
Last year, the cheerful media personality was shown the boot at Kaya 959 from her radio show, Midday Joy, after an alleged feud with fellow colleague, Sizwe Dhlomo.

“Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward,” read Kaya 959 FM’s statement at the time.
She later claimed in a social media thread that the station was trying to censor her regarding the alleged feud.
“I was specifically told that I cannot use my platform to share my version of events,” she said.
Unathi’s contract as judge on Idols SA for more than a decade was also recently ended.
She later issued a statement on social media thanking the music show for her giving her a chance.
“Thank you to each and every one of you for pushing me to be the very best version of myself every Sunday for eleven years. I love you,” she said.
