Cape Town – Award-winning Zulu rapper, Big Zulu has taken to Instagram to share with his 1 million followers the construction of his late grandmother’s house.
Big Zulu was raised by his grandmother in KwaZulu Natal.
The rapper has always spoken of his late grandmother with reverence.
Last year he released a song dedicated to her titled, Inhlupheko, narrating the struggles she went through trying to bring him up into a young man.
“Just as I said before that I will rebuild my grandmother’s house where I was born, and here is the work in progress. It’s getting there,” he wrote in his caption.

Big Zulu had a humble upbringing, starting off as a taxi driver on the dusty township streets of Durban before chasing his passion, music, that has afforded him a new lease on life.
