Cape Town – Two dogs were reportedly killed on Thursday morning when a family home in Brooklyn, Pretoria, caught fire.
According to Times Live, paramedics responded to reports of a house fire in the area.
There were two people and two dogs in the house.
The people were treated and stabilised on the scene for smoke inhalation before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
However, the dogs suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead on the scene.

“The family pets, two dogs, were rescued by the Tshwane Fire Department. However, on further assessment, both pets were found to have sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on the scene,” IOL quoted Kyle van Reenen from Emer-G-Med as saying.
The cause of the fire was yet to be determined.
