Cape Town – Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has self-isolated after testing positive for Covid-19, his department said on Friday.
Reports indicated that he was “feeling better”.
“The Gauteng Education MEC Mr Panyaza Lesufi is in isolation and receiving treatment after having tested positive for Covid-19 today on Friday, 24 December 2021,” said the Gauteng Department of Education in a statement.

Lesufi started feeling unwell on Thursday night when he experienced shortness of death, prompting him to get a covid-19 test which came back positive.
He has been previously vaccinated.
