Cape Town – Three people in possession of cash and several bank and SASSA cards belonging to different cardholders were arrested in Cape Town on Saturday morning.
Western Cape police said the suspects had no justification for their possession of the cash and cards.
Police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said that the suspects, aged 20 to 46, were arrested following a joint operation in the Cape Town CBD area undertaken by a Commercial Crime Investigation in partnership with the City of Cape Town, CCID, and Vuzela Security.

One of the arrested suspects was also wanted for other crimes in the Bishop Lavis area.
The three were expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.
