Cape Town – South African radio personality and Idols SA judge Unathi Nkayi has had her contract terminated by Kaya 959 following “certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward”.
The radio station released a statement confirming that they have parted ways with Unathi.
“Ms. Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward. Kaya 959 can confirm that certain incidents had occurred, which resulted in the breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties. The business can further confirm that due process was followed and the decision was therefore made to part ways with Ms. Nkayi,” reads the statement in part.

According to IOL, Nkayi joined Kaya 959 in March last year, taking over from Bridget Masinga. She hosted the Midday Joy show on weekdays from 12:00 – 15:00.
Her replacement will be announced in due course.
