Cape Town – South African musician Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona better known as Makhadzi has announced a R120 million deal with local sportswear brand Kicks to create sneakers and accessories that represent everything she stands for.
Makhadzi announced the deal on her Instagram page, posting a video of herself arriving at the local brand’s offices and signing the multi-million rand contract.
“When God’s timing is right everything falls into place, blessings come together and dreams become a reality. I am happy to announce that I have signed a R 120 million MEGA deal called Kokovha with @kickssportswear_sa to develop and create amazing products that will reflect everything that I am and believe in.”

“Join me on this journey as I’ll be sharing more about this deal in the upcoming weeks. Sammy Mhaule, the founder and CEO of Kicks Sportwear, also confirmed the deal with Makhadzi on his Instagram page.
Mhaule praised the Ghanama hitmaker for the rare gem she is and further revealed that the deal was inspired by Makhadzi’s 2020 album titled Kokovha which scored her the most streamed female artist on Apple Music title.
“Makhadzi X Kicks I’m happy to announce that @kickssports_sa and @makhadzisahave signed a R120million MEGA deal called KOKOVHA inspired by Makhadzi’s 2020 title album KOKOVHA. For a while I questioned myself why we don’t have a Sports brand that is from Africa to World, created by us, for us and for all people.”
