Cape Town – South African media personality and actress Pearl Thusi has expressed her political views ahead of the local municipal elections.
In a Twitter post, she wrote: “I swear if the ANC wins elections again then we just have a deep-rooted self-hate as a nation. We have to find another option.”

We have to find another option.— Pearl Thusi (@PearlThusi) October 28, 2021
Cleary striking a nerve, the head of digital communications in the presidency, Athi Geleba responded to Pearl’s tweet and shared a shrugging Kanye West gif and captioned the post: “The ANC is going to win elections again.”

Not holding back, Pearl came back gun blazing at Athi’s response to her post.
She clapped back by saying that she hoped the ruling party would reply just as fast when it came to corruption and service delivery.
“Please ask them to be as proactive with responding to our tweets and corruption as they should be with service delivery,” she wrote.
Not the ANC volunteer… you’re probably right babe.

In addition, Pearl also wrote a series of tweets dragging Geleba and the ruling party for their ” arrogance”.
TAKE A LOOK AT THE TWAR:
It’s the arrogance of the volunteers for me. Lol. https://t.co/E80HlxLpgr

That arrogant volunteer is right – the ANC will most likely win all these elections – HOWEVER – we need to reduce the arrogance by reducing their margins of victory election by election. So they stop being so comfortable and maybe their arrogance will reduce.

Also – when did it become ok for public servants to bully civilians even if they’re public figures for opinions on their votes and where they choose to take it?
Imagine defending incompetence of your own office publicly?!
Wow.
