Johannesburg – Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)’s secretary-general Godrich Gardee has opened a law firm, the Gardee Godrich Attorneys.
Gardee made the announcement on social media on Monday.
“Goodmorning Africa….we present to you a Pan Africanist Law firm. We do not judge our clients… that is for the courts…we commit to provide quality legal service… without fear, favour or prejudices…,” he tweeted.

Gardee joins the likes of Advocate Dali Mpofu, as a legal eagle who also happens to have an interest in the political fraternity.
Soon after the announcement, twitter was abuzz with tweeps, peers and notably media personnel passing their well-wishes to the politician-turned-lawyer on his new venture.

However, it was not long before the hashtag ‘Congratulation SG’ drew a sense of humour from the masses and slightly caused confusion as to which SG was actually trending.

In August, the EFF leader Julius Malema hailed Gardee for being admitted as a high court attorney, according to TimesLIVE.
He and other members of the party threw a fancy lunch for Gardee, where Malema spoke about his friend’s plan to open a law firm in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
Malema said at the time that Gardee’s move into law was “strategic”, as it was set to transform the sector.
“We view Commissar Gardee’s involvement in the legal fraternity as a very strategic move because that space is not necessarily transformed,” Malema was quoted as saying.
