Cape Town – South African actress and co-founder of The Ferguson Film production company, Connie Ferguson is this week set to appear on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, The Queen, for the first time after her late husband Shona’s death.
Shona, affectionately known as “Uncle Sho” passed away due to COVID-19 related complications on July 30 at the age of 47.
Following his death, Connie took a short break from the set to mourn her husband.
Connie plays Harriet Khoza on The Queen.

Prior to her leave of absence from the show, the telenovela had introduced a storyline of Harriet catching feelings for her arch-enemy Hector, played by Rapulana Seiphemo.
According to The Citizen, “this storyline continues”.
