‘It hasn’t been the easiest times,’ SA’s J’Something says

Cape Town – South African singer, J’Something, is set to host the My Kitchen Rules SA season 3 alongside Chef David Higgs.

The television show will air on September 19.

According to Times live, J’Something is grateful to be able to fulfill his other passion for the culinary space while he waits for the music industry to “reopen” again.

The arts industry continues to battle under the Covid-19 pandemic, with many artists finding it hard to make ends meet.

Media personality and actress, Pearl Thusi, recently pleaded with the Minister of Sports Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, to give support to South African artists, saying that artists were struggling.

J’Something himself says the times have not been easy and many artists are trying to find ways of survival.

“It was such a surprise when I got the call (from M-Net’s My Kitchen Rules) because it hasn’t been the easiest times for all of us. For me being in the music industry it has been quite intense and we’ve been trying to find ways to think of ideas for revenue streams,” he was quoted as saying.

The artist clearly possesses more than one talent. He enjoys cooking, and frequently shares photos and videos of himself performing magic in the kitchen on social media.

On his Instagram account, he shared a trailer for the show.

“Can’t wait for you to see season 3 of My Kitchen Rules South Africa. It will premier on the 19th of September and it’s gonna be epic!,” he wrote.
