Cape Town – Connie Ferguson, the late entertainment icon Shona’s wife, has taken to social media to thank South Africans and the rest of the world for their support and comfort following her husband’s death.
“I really have no words but to say thank you. Thank you South Africa, the continent, and the world at large for the outpouring of love, words of comfort, and prayers. My family and I appreciate you. God bless you all”, she wrote on Instagram, a day after Shona’s funeral service.
Shona died at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg on July 30, due to Covid-19 related complications.

He was laid to rest on August 4 at the Fourways Cemetery in Johannesburg in a private family funeral – in accordance with Covid 19 regulations.
The funeral service was live-streamed.

The media mogul’s memorial service will take place on Friday, August 6.
Due to Covid 19 rules, only 50 invited guests will be allowed. The memorial service will, however, be live-streamed on Youtube.
