Durban – A violent shooting incident on the R603 near Adam’s Mission and Illovu, south of Durban, left two men dead and a woman injured on Monday afternoon, according to ALS Paramedics.
Just after 3 p.m., paramedics responded to multiple emergency calls reporting gunfire.
“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a shooting incident had occurred on the R603 when it is alleged that a family vehicle had broken down and the family was approached by gunmen who opened fire,” ALS said.
In front of the house, paramedics discovered a man in his twenties who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.
Nearby, at a riverbank, they found another man, believed to be the father of the family, with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was also pronounced deceased on-site.
South African Police Service (SAPS) officers were present at the scene and are investigating the incident.
No suspects have been identified, and the motive is yet to be determined.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact SAPS as the investigation continues.
