Cape Town – Three people were shot and killed in Mofolo, Soweto, on Monday morning in what authorities suspect is a taxi-related attack.

“It was on Zulu street. High calibre cartridges were found on the scene. At this stage, no-one has been arrested. However, I can assure that police are working non-stop to make sure that the suspects are arrested,” Kweza said.
Authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist the investigation.
Traffic in the area has been affected, with diversions in place along Mahalefele Road. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.
This incident comes amid ongoing violence in the taxi industry, which has seen multiple fatal shootings in recent months.
