Cape Town – Former Proteas cricketer JP Duminy and his wife, Sue, have announced their separation after more than a decade of marriage.
They shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on their memorable moments together and their two daughters.
JP asked for privacy during this transition, emphasising their amicable split and continued friendship.
“After much consideration, Sue and I have decided to part ways. We are fortunate to have shared many memorable moments together during our marriage and blessed with two beautiful daughters,” he wrote.

“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition. Though our paths are diverse, we remain friends, and our separation is amicable. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.”
Speculation about their relationship status arose when fans noticed a decline in shared posts on social media.
The couple first met in 2008, got engaged in 2009, and married in 2011. They welcomed their daughters, Isabella in 2015 and Alexa-Rose in 2018.
According to The Citizen, After JP’s retirement from international cricket in 2019, he focused on mentorship and charity work, while Sue pursued her business ventures in wellness and lifestyle.
In recent years, both had been active in their respective fields, but by 2024, there were signs of a split, including Sue’s absence from JP’s charity event and her subsequent move to a new home with their daughters.
