Cape Town – Leader of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) Gayton McKenzie and AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel met to discuss various issues on Tuesday, including South Africa’s situation and their upcoming visit to the US.
During the meeting, McKenzie asked Kriel about the notion of white genocide in South Africa.
Kriel clarified that while there are serious issues like farm attacks, he does not believe in a “white genocide”, stating genocide refers to events like the Rwandan massacre.
The discussion also focused on the ANC’s policies, with both McKenzie and Kriel agreeing on the importance of increasing pressure on ANC leaders to address issues such as property rights and discriminatory laws.
Kriel emphasised that AfriForum and McKenzie want to improve South Africa, avoiding a situation like Zimbabwe’s.
McKenzie also expressed his admiration for US President Donald Trump, saying he has supported Trump since his reality TV days.
“I’ve loved Donald Trump since the days of his reality show. All my friends know that. I love my partner, but I differ with her. That doesn’t mean you can’t differ with people. If I differ with my partner, it doesn’t mean I stopped loving her,” McKenzie said.

He believes South Africa should maintain good relations with all nations, including the US, Russia, and China.
Thanks for the visit @kalliekriel, we differed respectfully, I’m glad that we agreed that there is no genocide in SA. Leadership requires of us to listen to each other particularly the ones we might dislike or disagree with strongly. Salute https://t.co/6QyqBaSE1a
