Cape Town — Rachel Kolisi has revealed her desire to be more positive example to her children as they grow older and navigate the world.
Rachel has endured a few difficult months, culminating in her high-profile ivorce from Springboks captain, Siya Kolisi. She has worked hard to grow and evelop herself to becoming a more rounded person.
In a recent interview on the O-Factor with Olwethu on Heart FM, Rachel opened up on what her plans were for the year ahead and spoke openly about showing the people close to her how much she cares and loves them.
She also revealed that, having turned 35, she has been molded and shaped into the person she is today by her experiences and vowed to be more intentional with the decision she makes.
She discussed the responsibility adults have in raising their children well. Rachel and Siya have two children – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7).
“As adults, we can’t control what happens to us in our childhood. Almost every individual walking this earth has some childhood heartache that lingers into adulthood. I believe that once we become adults, it’s our responsibility to address these issues in order to be better for our children and raise a generation that, while not necessarily trauma-free, will have a less traumatic childhood,” she said.
She wanted to make sure to raise her children to be healthy and wholesome and wants to make sure she has healed from her experiences as a child to ensure her children receive the love and positivity they need to thrive in this world,
