Cape Town – The ANC has announced plans to reconfigure the provincial executive committees (PECs) of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng following poor performances in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasised that the changes will adhere to the ANC constitution, SABC News reported on Sunday.
The NEC resolved to reform leadership in the two provinces as part of its commitment to accountability for the party’s electoral losses.

Earlier, the ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri reiterated that it cannot operate as usual after losing power in the elections
She said that maintaining the current structures is no longer a viable option.
