Cape Town — Lynn Forbes paid tribute to her son, former rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, when she went on a lavish holiday to Istanbul, Turkey, with her granddaughter, Kairo Forbes.
“Kiernan, your spirit lives on and hearing people, often strangers, relate stories about meeting you and their very memorable interactions with you, are very heartwarming but also brings healing to us at the same time. @djzinhle wants me to have the beautiful vase that Kiernan bought for her on this trip and I will keep it safe for @kairo.forbes to have when she grows up. What a special moment,” she continued.

During their trip, Lynn and Kairo documented different parts of the vacation, which looked to have been sponsored by Turkish Airlines, including their time at the airport, as well as visiting some of Istanbul’s most iconic tourist destinations including the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque), as well as experiencing the best Turkish cuisine.
It was an incredible learning opportunity for Kairo and a great chance for AKA’s mother and daughter to experience one of his favourite cities.
