Cape Town – Former president Jacob Zuma, now leading the uMkhonto we Sizwe Party (MK Party), has expressed confidence in winning an Electoral Court case against the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) over alleged voter fraud in the 29 May general elections.
Speaking at the MK Party’s first anniversary rally at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, Zuma claimed the party’s votes were unlawfully distributed and vowed to pursue the case next year.
“Let us unite so we can get overwhelming votes in the upcoming 2026 local government election. We need to reclaim our country and votes. I am optimistic that we have a strong case against those we are taking to court for Electoral Court. They rigged and took our votes. They distributed our votes amongst themselves. They will lose this case,” Zuma said.
