Zuma hails MK Party’s impact: ‘South Africans are happier, and change is here’

Cape Town – Leader of the MK Party Jacob Zuma claims that South Africans are happier and the country has improved since the party’s establishment.

Speaking to supporters in eThekwini, Zuma noted increased optimism and vibrancy among citizens, saying that the MK Party is “unstoppable” and destined to govern the nation to bring equality between races and improved living conditions for all.

“I have observed, from people speaking on the streets, that since the establishment of [the MK Party] South Africa has changed. People are smiling, they are vibrant and no longer lack morale. There is life.

“I have never seen a party like this. Since we started we’re unstoppable, they see us everywhere. We know we will govern this country and we will change these laws,” Times Live quoted Zuma as saying.

He promised that under MK Party governance, all citizens, regardless of race, would live in proper housing rather than shacks.

His remarks came a few days after MK Party (MKP) MP Mzwanele Manyi praised him, calling him a master strategist with a keen ability to plan several moves ahead, similar to a chess player. Manyi, who joined Zuma’s MKP in August after leaving the EFF, has consistently expressed his confidence in Zuma’s leadership.

In a post on X over the weekend, he said that calmness, strategic thinking, and understanding the opponent’s moves are crucial in leadership, drawing parallels to chess.

“Chess is game of thinkers. Calmness is key, thinking is central, seeing the bigger picture is fundamental, and understanding the moves of your opponent is the main ingredient,” said Manyi.

He added: “You can’t play chess if you are permanently angry, emotional and impulsive. MK Party is led by a thinker.”
