The order prohibits Mabe from dealing with specific assets, including a property in Steyn City and a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS.
The SIU found irregularities in a R27.6 million waste management tender for 200 motorised three-wheeler vehicles intended for waste pickers, which were never delivered.
The investigation uncovered noncompliance with procurement rules, mismanagement of public funds, and fraudulent activities, resulting in over R25 million in losses.
SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago said that their investigation revealed major irregularities in the tender awarded to Mabe
“Despite payments made to Enviro Mobi, evidence indicates non-compliance with procurement regulations, misrepresentation, and failure to deliver contracted services.”
The SIU has also filed a review application to nullify the tender and recover unlawfully paid funds.
Last month, Mabe and five others were charged in connection with the case and released on R30,000 bail each.
