Cape Town – King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has addressed the incident involving a woman who caused a stir at a government event in eThekwini on November 7, where he was seated alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The woman, dressed in a cream outfit with a scarf and sunglasses, rushed the stage attempting to reach the king before being stopped by security.
Despite being restrained, she fought back, drawing attention to her actions.

Speaking at the annual eNyokeni royal palace prayer in KwaZulu Natal, attended by members of the Nazareth Baptist Church (Shembe) over the weekend, the king clarified that he knows the woman, who hails from the Ngcobo clan, and attributed her actions to desperation stemming from personal struggles.
Rejecting rumours circulating on social media that she is his girlfriend, the king expressed frustration at the false claims.
“She is not my girlfriend. I am a king who speaks the truth,” he said, adding that the woman’s troubles are tied to his family members seeking to dethrone him.
The king expressed his commitment to assist her, as she is part of the Zulu nation, but refrained from disclosing the specifics of her challenges.
King Misuzulu, who married his third wife, Nomzama Myeni, in May 2024, also has two other wives, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela-Zulu and Queen Nozizwe Mulela-Zulu.
