Cape Town – South Africa’s youngest-ever MP at 20, Cleo Wilskut, has resigned from Parliament three months after being sworn in.
The Patriotic Alliance announced her departure via a video posted by party leader Gayton McKenzie.
Wilskut expressed gratitude to the party and its supporters, emphasising her excitement for the party’s growth.

“I would like to thank the leadership of the Patriotic Alliance and I am looking forward to growing the party forever,” she said.
Wilskut added: “To the members of the PA, I would say: ons baiza nie, die plan gaan aan. [The plan goes on] Salute.”
“Ons baiza nie” is the party’s slogan which means “no surrender, no retreat”.
ccording to IOL, Parliament has confirmed Wilskut’s resignation, but the Patriotic Alliance has yet to nominate a replacement for her seat.
