Cape Town — One of South Africa’s most estranged couples, Enhle Mbali and DJ Black Coffee headed to court this week over their strained marriage.
The couple announced their split in 2019 in what was described as a “tumultuous” marriage which was marred by accusations of abuse and infidelity, which Mbali accused the DJ of fathering two children with other women during their marriage, The South African reported.
Black Coffee also revealed earlier this year that there was a time when Mbali had made him upset during their relationship, and it was after he had bought her a car.
“One day I bought my ex a very fancy car and the response wasn’t what I expected. She wasn’t as excited as I expected. And, for me, especially at the time, it was a super fancy car and I expected her to even cry. She was like ‘Oh, it’s nice. Thank you,’” he said.

Prior to the court proceedings, Enhle uploaded a video on social media where she explained her final thoughts on the case. The underlying message of her video was to “fear men after God.”
“I just had a final thought. I’ve heard the saying that ‘after God, fear men.’ and I just thought ‘not all men are bad. I think men are great but some of them are a bit problematic,” she said.
“I say this because I am in bed and tomorrow, I am going to court to prove that I was married to him traditionally. To prove? That’s insane, but after God fear some men,” she concluded.
