Cape Town – ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula has announced the formation of a Standing Committee to investigate leaks of sensitive ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC) information.
Speaking at a media briefing, Mbalula expressed frustration over members sharing confidential information with journalists and opposition parties, describing them as “constipated” by factionalism.
The committee, comprised of seasoned ANC members, will conduct forensic audits to identify those responsible for these leaks, though media freedom will remain unaffected.
“The ANC’s integrity is undermined by faceless sources who have got no shame of themselves and they are standing in the organisation. Members of the ANC must self-respect,” he said.

We are going to investigate these matters and the shameless faceless sources will show themselves.… pic.twitter.com/XDDeb2Uusm
