Cape Town – A suspect has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of 82-year-old Cecilia Flemming and her 52-year-old daughter, Hester Flemming, who were abducted during a house robbery in Kliprivier, south of Johannesburg.
The attack occurred between 10 PM on October 25 and the early hours of October 26, 2024.
According to Mike Bolhuis from Specialised Security Services, the suspects entered the property by cutting through the fence and breaking the security gate, ransacking the house and stealing two vehicles.
“Once inside – the house was ransacked, and the suspects stole two vehicles.
The pair were later found dead in an old mine shaft in De Deur.
“… with deep sadness, SSS must inform the public that Ms. Hester Flemming and Ms. Cecilia Johanna Flemming were found deceased today in an opencast mine in Eikenhof,” a statement said.
